VWP is a non-profit community resource that depends on the support of its annual members and the wider neighborhood. We enjoy and take care of the pool together, building a stronger community in the process.

We rely on our members (and some awesome neighborhood non-members) to help run our social events and swim meets, perform general maintenance and facility improvements, and keep the community spirit alive.

Our members work together to keep our facility thriving through a volunteer program.

Full-season members are assessed a volunteer fee per household in addition to the membership fee. The volunteer fee is fully refundable upon completion of 10 hours of volunteer work during the season. For fewer hours worked, refunds are issued on a prorated basis. This gives annual members the option to contribute time, money, or both to keep the pool and facilities in good working order. (Please note that volunteer time for swim team does not count towards this program.)

Serve on the board, help with spring and fall cleanup and project days, prepare and serve food at social events, help out with grounds and landscaping maintenance, perform minor repairs, assist with office tasks, provide a class or assist with training, or offer up your own special skills...the volunteer opportunities are endless and can be designed to fit your schedule. Kids can earn volunteer hours too!

Our utmost concern is the safety of our members and their guests. Our pool is staffed with certified pool operators and lifeguards. Everyone enjoying our facility must follow the facility rules and comply with the safety directions of the life guards and VWP board members.
