Annual members are assessed a volunteer fee per household in addition to the membership fee. The volunteer fee is fully refundable upon completion of 10 hours of volunteer work during the season (ending in early October). For fewer hours worked, refunds are issued on a prorated basis. Refunds are issued by November 1. Volunteer time for the Vikings swim team does not count towards this program. Kids can earn volunteer hours, too!
Members can use the volunteer sign-ups below to sign up for a wide range of opportunities. Serve on the board, help with spring and fall cleanup and project days, prepare and serve food at social events, help out with grounds and landscaping maintenance, perform minor repairs, assist with office tasks, provide a class or assist with training, or contact us to propose your own idea. Watch our member emails for announcements of volunteer opportunities. There is always plenty to do, and we’ll make it work with your schedule!

Work Days 2026 Just show up when you can, for as long as you can! No signup needed.
Our spring work days are currently scheduled for April 11 (general cleanup/setup) and May 9 (landscaping/planting), 9 AM to 4 PM both days. We expect to add another work day between those dates, but the date is TBD.
Fall work days are scheduled in the fall (usually late September or early October) to clean out food and fridges, put away furniture, and perform minor repairs and painting projects. Specific dates will be posted in late August…watch your email. We also need help with leaf removal in November.
If you want to earn volunteer hours but you aren’t able to help on work days or volunteer at social events, just contact us as we have jobs that can be done anytime.
